Geox builds footwear factory in Vranje - Jobs for 1,250 workers


The renowned footwear manufacturer Geox will build a factory in Vranje to satisfy its own production needs, the city administration of Vranje said in a release.
An agreement on the construction of this factory will be signed Monday (8 October 2012) with Mario Moretti Polegato, president of the famous Italian company, in the presence of high government officials and representatives of the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).
The Geox Group, which today operates in 103 countries, is one of the largest footwear manufacturers in the world.
The factory in Vranje, in which Geox plans to invest EUR 15.8 million, will employ 1,250 workers, people at the Ministry of Finance and Economy announced. The plan is to annually produce 1,250,000 pairs of shoes at that factory.
