County of Indjija will get its first windmills, project worth 1,5 millions EUR


Representatives of Indjija county and the Austrian-Serbian company "Re-energy" have signed a contract for building up by the end of 2006 a first windmill in Serbia of total installed power of one megavat, right at the entrance for Beska.
The investment in worth around 1,5 millions EUR, and one windmill can provide energy for around 1.600 households.
General manager of the company 'RE-energy" Veljko Jankovic and the president of the county of Indjija Goran Jesic announced that 11 more windmills should be installed, in order to organize a windmill park of total power of close to 25 megavat.
Jesic said that this county gave its best to get the first windmill of Serbia, and by doing this "had made the first step towards new technologies in the area of energetics".
