Cheaper medicines - Government adopts decision on maximum prices of drugs for use in human medicine

At its yesterday's session, the Serbian government passed a decision on the highest prices of drugs for use in human medicine on prescription.

This decision will prevent the problem of shortages of medicines, contribute to the normalization of drug markets in Serbia and provide a better and safer healthcare for the citizens, it was announced on the government's website.

It will also increase the overall supply and ensure greater competitiveness. The decision applies to 531 medicines, a third of which are original drugs.

This is the first in a series of measures aimed at lowering the prices of medicines in Serbia.
