How much sand and how much water for a perfect castle?

Making towers of sand is not a game for children, scientists who gave to this popular game for children at the beach higher, scientific meaning. According to them, a perfect tower of sand depends on the delicate balance that consisting of 99 % sand and one percent water.
The Dutch and French researchers have spent hours making sand castles in their labs in order to get to complicated mathematical formula for a stable and enduring sand texture.
Their advice is that one should not use too much water, but just as much as to make sand grains together.
- At the optimal concentration, towers five meters high can be built – it has been pointed out in the study published in the journal Nature Scientific Reports.
Scientists believe the results of their research will be useful in the construction industry, particularly in the structural stability field.
