Production units of Sponge Factory in Bujanovac to be put into operation in September 2006

In the newly built "Simpo's" sponge factory (sponges for production of upholstered furniture) in Bujanovac, on the surface of 2,200 square meters, the assembling of equipment is underway, so that the factory could be put into operation in September 2006.

The installation of new automated line, produced in Great Britain, will enable production of 400 km of light polyurethane foam per minute by the world ecological standards, which is five times more than before.

The new line will enable broadening of assortment with the design of foams of specific weights of more than 35 kg per cubic meter, which will eliminate the need for their import from Germany.

In addition to the standard foam, the production of so-called "soften" foam, which is much used by "Simpo's" factory of upholstering products, is in the pipeline, as well as the production of high-elasticity foam, which was imported from Bulgaria.
