Bio-diesel factory in Šid to be completed prior to Spring 2007

Prior to Spring 2007, the construction of the bio-diesel factory in Šid should be completed. That factory will be the first of the kind in the Balkans.

Construction of the unit started 1 month ago in Šid-based oil factory "Mladost", which is a member of "Viktorija group" from Novi Sad. The investment is worth 15m EUR, which are provided from credit approved by German bank. Annual production in the factory will amount to 100,000 tons of eco fuel and 35,000 tons of edible oil.

Concerning the price and the advantage in the environment protection, it is expected that everything factory produces will find a buyer, both on domestic and foreign market.

In addition to present 120 workers, the factory will employ another 80, because the production is highly automatized. Trial production should take place at the end of April, while the regular production should start two months later.
