Avala Tower gets new restaurant


As of Saturday, tourist offer at the Avala tower includes a cafe-restaurant at a 199-meter height. A large number of Belgrade people can enjoy the unforgettable capital's panorama along with tea, cookies and cold drinks. Half of Sumadija can be seen from comfortable, leather chairs.
Consortium Panorama bar is the new tenant who has recently won competition released by Public Company Emisiona tehnika i veze which owns the Avala tower.
This is capital's tallest catering venue. Since we are already in the heights, we also tried to provide high level service to tourists - Sasa Mitic, General Manager of Panorama bar said.
Panorama bar occupies 88 square meters as well as summer garden at the accessible plateau of the tower. It is open nine a.m. to eight p.m. The tower cafe has 60 seats and 40 standing places.
According to Mitic, the tower will offer far richer service than today.
- Apart from the tower service, we will have interesting services. We will organize rich open-space music and cultural events on 3.000 square meters, next to a cafe. I am referring to exhibits, theatre shows and concerts - Mitic was explaining.
The interested from Belgrade should pay 150 dinars for an entrance to the tower. But, if they opt for visiting newly-opened cafe plus viewpoint, they will have to pay exactly 400 dinars.
Besides the view over Sumadija, they can order a drink they want for that sum of money.
If they want to spice up the feeling, they can order various kinds of cakes, biscuits or more drinks. Prices are the same as downtown - a beer costs 170 dinars, wine 190, mineral water 125, soft drinks 180 dinars.
