Metalac dishes in on-line offer of the Amercian department store chain, Kohl's


After many years of negotiations and six months of logistics settling, Gorenje-based Metalac dishes has been welcomed by sales chain Kohl’s operating in 49 Amercian countries with 1.138 department stores, Belgrade’s Politika wrote.
This chance should not be missed and therefore doubts appeared in Milwaukee-based Metalac American. Kohl’s, operating with an 18-billion dollar profit, are left just ajar.
Only on-line sales has started which means that in half a year time, Metalac dishes should prove to be competition worth world brands in this category: Cuisinart, Berghoff, Wolfgang Puck, etc.
- We have made the first step – said Bo Drazevic, USA-based Metalac General Manager said in an interview for Politika, mentioning that the brand development at the most demanding world market takes both time but it also requires quality products at reasonable prices – and prompt deliveries directly from the American Milwaukee-based Metalac warehouse.
At the moment, the offer includes three enameled sets but, according to Bo Drazevic, four more sets signed by Karim Rashid, a well-known industrial designer from New York, will be in the offer.
- This is the first step in our cooperation with Kohl’s- Bo Drazevic said.
- Now that we established business relation, introduction of new products will be a lot easier. I believe that other producers of quality products from Serbia have a chance to compete for the attention of choosy American buyers and that we can help with that.
