Citizens of Valjevo obtained Prophylactic Center, Municipal Health center to obtain investment of 3m EUR

Minister of Health of Serbia, Tomica Milosavljević, has opened the Prophylactic Center in the Health Center in Valjevo and announced that the urgent reconstruction and procurement of complete equipment would be carried out for the needs of 161 health centers in Serbia.

Valjevo-based Prophylactic Center has been built in the scope of the project "Promotion of prophylactic medical services in Serbia", which is implemented by the Ministry of Health and European Agency for Reconstruction.

On that occasion, Minister said that there were 25 health centers in Serbia that were included in the aforementioned project and that should be "coordinative core that drives resources in the health centers in the prevention of cardiovascular, diabetes and malignant diseases".

Besides, Milosavljević said that the Ministry of Health would invest 3m EUR in Valjevo-based hospital in 2006 and that 4.6m CSD would be given for completion of construction of the Health Center on Divčibare, the opening of which should take place in September 2006.
