According to SBB Director General Dragica Pilipovic-Chaffey, the Serbian cable operator SBB will begin providing fixed telephony services by end-2012.
As she said in an interview with the Serbian news agency Tanjug, SBB has received permission to offer fixed telephony services and is now resolving interconnection issues with Telekom Srbija.
Pilipovic-Chaffey also announced that SBB would soon allow its subscribers to watch TV via laptop and work on the move, thanks to the expansion of the Wi-Fi Zones, which are currently available at over 200 locations across Serbia.
Jovana Lukic, the director of SBB's Corporate Communications division, said that SBB had about 750,000 users and over 900 employees at the moment, reminding that the company was a result of the integration of cable operators in 2002 and 2003.
