Processing of fruit and vegetables still represents huge opportunity for development of Serbia

The processing of fruit and vegetables was the big chance for increase in Serbia's export to Germany and reduction of unemployment, said the councillor of the German Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection George Mull.

However, the development of agriculture, according to his words, does not mean only the procurement of the up-to-date machines, but also the rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructure, such as cold storage plants, because they enable higher finishing level of processing of fruit and vegetables, profit and employment growth.

Mull praised the high level of Serbian agriculture in comparison with the other countries in east Europe and he added that many agricultural products, thanks to their quality, put Serbia to the very top of Europe.
