The XVIII in a row - REBEC 2025 - will be held on June 3-4, in Hall IV of the Belgrade Fair. This way, the organizer of the largest event in the field of real estate development in Southeast Europe is paying tribute to the institution of the Belgrade Fair - a symbol of vision, development and great architectural ideas.

REBEC, which brings together and connects not only the most prominent professionals from the entire SEE region, but also from more than 40 countries around the world, fosters precisely those values that the creators of the Fair had, as well as all those who have preserved its reputation and importance over time.

If Milorad Pantovic (one of the designers of the Fair), Branko Zezelj (one of his best construction designs is Hall I) or Milan Krstic were among us, they would certainly be prominent speakers at the REBEC conference, and models of their projects would be exhibited within the REBEC exhibition space.

At the time it was built, the dome of Hall I of the Belgrade Fair was unique in the world - an engineering and architectural marvel of its time. This dome is also a symbol of the grandiose history that was created under it, as well as our aspirations to walk on the world stage on an equal footing with today’s greatest minds and pioneers.

Apart from the fact that it was built using domestic architectural knowledge and technologies, and only 15 years after the end of the Second World War at that, what fascinates us even more is the courage of our greats to consider our undertakings in a magnificent and extremely sovereign way and to recognize our space as a place of great international meetings, merging of differences and exchange of great ideas. Our Fair is, in every sense, a representative of a world metropolis.

This complex, from which the broadcasting of the experimental program of the TV Beograd began in 1958, in which grandiose fashion shows were held, photos of which were published in the world’s largest magazines (Vogue) and in which Eric Clapton and Louis Armstrong performed, has survived in its grandeur and resisted adversity so much that it has imperceptibly accustomed us, but also obliged us to dream big.

The Belgrade Book Fair is widely known, and the Auto Show, although not the largest, has a unique visual stamp, in the form of a light pattern that falls from the Dome and is outlined on the bodies of the latest models of world car brands. And it is precisely in this example that we see how bold ideas of brilliant minds have the ability to leave an imprint and shape the future in the most diverse ways.

Us - between Milan, Istanbul, Budapest and Athens

Belgrade is the only metropolis in the region between Milan, Istanbul, Budapest and Athens and it is quite natural that it strives for great achievements. And that it is possible to realize great events here is proven not only by our former fair history, but also by the fact that extremely serious events are constantly created and held in Belgrade, such as REBEC, which is celebrating its 18th anniversary this year, with guests and topics that any metropolis would be proud of.

REBEC was founded in 2008 and was boldly designed after the MIPIM, a world event held in Cannes. It is no coincidence that its logo depicts the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, with the motto “United in Diversity”.

Its idea sprung up from the vision of our seriousness, greatness and importance, which is why this event brings the world’s largest real estate development companies to Belgrade and its program ambitiously and meticulously deals with all aspects of this field. It educates, connects and networks people, predicts future trends and highlights brilliant personalities and their projects under the “dome” of our sky.

Construction topics of our time

This year, REBEC is premiering the topic related to Arbitration processes in the real estate development market. This topic is becoming a topic of utmost importance, due to the increasing number of delays and halts in implementation, which indicates a growing need for in-depth education of all participants in the investment market of Serbia and the region.

In addition, one of the topics will concern affordable housing and student accommodation, along with deciphering the EU taxonomy, as one of the crucial points to achieving profitable and sustainable real estate investments. Regional horizons of logistics and industry, office and residential projects will be there as well, along with the already regular topics on the digital world of real estate and the impact of artificial intelligence on their development.

In the thematic pentangle of hotel topics, participants will have the opportunity to go through specialized markets of Southeast Europe, then, Belgrade and Serbia in particular, they will have the opportunity to see winning combinations for successful resort operations (maritime, mountain and spa), as well as a current analysis of serviced apartments, branded residences and mixed hotel ventures. The fifth point of this part of the specialized program will end with a prospectus of the outlook for hotel investment, through commenting on current trends, associated risks and potential successes.

There is also a pentangle of retail topics with a special focus on the retail revolution of the Western Balkans market. Special attention will be paid to the process of the extinction of shopping malls in their current function and concept. The emergence and development of experience centers is anticipated. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see craft challenges, which point to a different future of retail, as well as the extremely important topic of the future development of retail parks, in accordance with the fact of the current growing demand in secondary cities in Serbia.
