Since the time of ancient Greek thermal spas and Roman baths, the idea and technology of leisure and the design and philosophy of the required space have been developing and improving throughout centuries, but what has always represented a constant is that such space is intended for the relaxation of spirit and body through water, heat, air, steam and other treatments, architect Djordje Bajilo explains.

In the previous period, there has been a progress in the construction and modernization of spa facilities and an incredible expansion of wellness and fitness centers and small city spa centers in Serbia.

A significant contribution to such progress and expansion has been given by eKapija`s interlocutor, a young architect from Novi Sad, who is the author of several big projects, including the spa and wellness center in Banja Junakovic spa, sports center in Pancevo, luxury hotel with a wellness and spa center in Trebinje and the Bobar Group`s tennis and spa center in Bijeljina.

His interest in tennis and football and aforementioned projects helped him decide to design facilities for sports, recreation and leisure. By the way, DBA studio became the only Serbian member of the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) in 2007, and Djordje Bajilo, the owner of this studio, is a participant in the program UIA Sport & Leisure.
