The Chinese company Linglong International Europe does not have to prepare an environmental impact assessment study for the project called “Complex of Facilities for Operations in the Free Zone”, as decided by the City Administration of Zrenjanin.

The announcement says that there was a repeat procedure and deliberation as per the decision of the Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection of March 21 this year and the request submitted by the Chinese tire factory Linglong, represented by the Belgrade-based company Masinoprojekt Kopring.

The complex of facilities for business operations in the free zone, among other things, encompasses guardhouses, substations, a head office building, a center for the recreation of the employees, a restaurant, a pumping station for hydrant water and 608 parking spaces for passenger vehicles and eight for cargo ones.

The construction of this complex does not require an environmental impact assessment study, the City Administration of Zrenjanin decided.

A complaint against this decision can be presented to the Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection within the next 15 days.
