Adriatic Maritime Distribution: Increased Competitiveness in Transport of LCL Shipments

The regional logistics company Adriatic Maritime Distribution (AMD), with its own offices in Koper, Zagreb and Belgrade, managed to be recognized as one of the leaders in the regional market of consolidated container transport in less than 3 years of operations.

AMD recently opened a new direct intermodal service from China to Belgrade for the needs of clients from Serbia, without reloading of goods from containers:

– In cooperation with our Chinese partners in the main Chinese ports of Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Qingdao, we are able to offer a more cost-competitive solution for bulk container transport from China compared to the existing transport through the port of Koper and transshipment of goods in Slovenia. The new service (named ECONOMY) involves the unloading of shipping containers in the port of Rijeka and truck transport to the customs warehouse in Dobanovci, where the goods are placed under bond. With this new service, we are able to expand our service portfolio and cover all categories of customers who need to import goods from China through greater market coverage in an efficient and reliable manner. Certainly, the service through the port of Koper (named EXPRESS) still remains as an integral part of our offer, in line with the needs of all clients in the region.
