The St. Vitus Day (June 28) is getting closer, and that is currently the deadline for the opening to traffic of the highway section from Pakovrace to Pozega, whose construction began in 2019, when it was announced that the works would be completed during 2021. In the meantime, the deadline for the completion of the job on the stretch from Preljina to Pozega (around 30.9 kilometers long in total) was moved on several occasions, and in January 2022, after another delay, only the section from Preljina to Pakovrace, around 12 kilometers long, opened to traffic.

The state authorities have been assuring for a long time now that the June 28 deadline is not to be doubted when it comes to opening the remaining stretch, from Pakovrace to Pozega, to traffic.

Recently, the PE Roads of Serbia published a video showing the current works on that section and, as can be seen, the job is being carried out on several points on the route, on the Lucani and Prilipac interchanges and in the Laz and Munjino brdo tunnels - this pertains to paving and installing the fences and horizontal and vertical traffic signalization.

The main contractor is the Chinese company CCCC.
