Very interesting list of participants in round table "Commercial Courts : to reform or to diseastablish ?"

Ekonomist Media Group organizes the roung table on "Commercial Courts: to reform of to disestablish?”, which will be held in Hall Belgrade-Budva of the Hyatt Regency hotel, on May 30, 2006, in Belgrade.
Reform of the legislation and, first of all, reform of the commercial courts are high in the list of priorities that Serbia as society must perform in order to become an attractive destination for multinational investors and, in that way, accelerated transition towards successful economy and reformed society. The rule of law and organization of strong institutions must be the priorities among the reforms carried out by the Government of Serbia.
What is the situation in the commercial courts and what is the situation in the other courts? Are efficiency, responsibility or transparency the characteristics of our Commercial Court? If realization of the reforms starts, who will feel them the most and in what way? These are some of the questions that will be discussed at the Round Table. The president of the Round Table is Milo Stevanović, the manager of the Commercial Court Administration Strengthening Activity Project (CCASA), which is financed by USAID.
The participants in the Round Table are Micheal Polt, American ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro; Zoran Stojković, Minister of Justice, Government of Republic of Serbia; Mlađan Dinkić, Minister of Finance, Government of Republic of Serbia; Milan Parivodić, Minister of INternational Economic Relations, Government of Republic of Serbia; Vida Petrović Škero, president of the Supreme Court; Radomir Lazarević, president of Higher Commercial Court; Patricia Gannon, partner, Karanović&Nikolić.
