According to the official European statistical data, people in Serbia work far more compared to all EU member-states – 41.4 hours a week, as shown by the Eurostat report for the final quarter of 2024.

The situation is worse only in Turkey, where people work 42.6 hours a week.

The euro area average, by the way, is 35 work hours a week and several states are below this level.

The Netherlands has the shortest work week, with 30.6 hours.
