Association of Serbian Banks: Credit growth in March

Total loans of businesses, citizens and entrepreneurs at the end of March this year amounted to about 3,840 billion dinars, which is 0.6% more than in February, the Association of Serbian Banks announced. Business loans were around 2,098 billion dinars and are 0.3% higher than in February, and loans to entrepreneurs increased by 2.8%, to around 84 billion dinars.

Retail debt to banks was about 1,658 billion dinars, which is an increase of 0.9%.

Among retail loans, cash was higher by 1.1% than in February, housing loans by 0.8%, refinancing loans by 5.5%, while agricultural loans decreased by 0.2% and consumer loans by 2.9%.

2.6% of total bank loans were in arrears at the end of March, the same as in February.
