3D mapping of Serbia from March to September

Here Technologies company that deals with digital mapping and location services, will start mapping parts of Serbia with high-precision three-dimensional (3D) technology this spring.

As stated by the company, Here plans to drive through the streets of Serbia from March to September 2025, using a car equipped with the latest technology to record highly accurate road data, including vertical and horizontal traffic signals.

- The clearly marked Here car will also capture 3D and panoramic images of streets, as well as points of interest such as shops, petrol stations and restaurants. The information will be used to creatie rich and detailed maps of Serbia designed to support highly autonomous vehicles and other advanced services that improve road safety, reduce traffic congestion and allow people to move more easily in urban areas - the company explains.

In the coming months, the vehicle will be operating on major roads throughout the country and on the streets of certain cities. The entire recording process takes place without stopping and affecting the normal flow of traffic.
