CCIS: Center for Business Initiatives and Quick Responses formed

The Center for Business Initiatives and Quick Responses, whose aim is to additionally improve the business environment in Serbia, through a constant dialogue between the corporate sector and the state, was formed yesterday at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS).

The CCIS president, Marko Cadez, said at the first, constitutional, session of the center that the task of this operating body was to ensure an efficient dialogue between the corporate sector and the state, remove business barriers, accelerate investments of local and other investors and increase investors’ trust in the whole system.

As priority topic, building permits, import and export procedures, phytosanitary, veterinarian and ecological certificates, incentives for livestock production, contributions for employees in the program of incentives for research and development, education and a lack of workforce and amendments to the laws on labor and FX operations were highlighted.

As pointed out at the meeting at the CCIS, an important role of the center is to accelerate the adoption of systemic solutions for the whole economy – from small companies to the biggest systems in the country which employ 100,000 people. In order to reach the best solutions for the corporate sector and the state, a detailed expert analysis is needed, such as would encompass key aspects – financial, legal and technical.

The plan is for the Center for Business Initiatives and Quick Responses to meet once a week at an operational level.
