The Government of Serbia has adopted the decision determining a public interest for the expropriation of immovable property to the end of the construction of a sports complex with indoor pools in New Belgrade. The decision has been made in line with the Detailed Regulation Plan for the part of the area between Studentska and Tosin Bunar streets and highway E75, and the beneficiary of the expropriation will be the City of Belgrade.

As eKapija has written before, within the complex SRC 11. april, toward Dr Zorza Matea Street (Studentska Street), the construction of a facility of around 11,000 m2 is planned. It will feature two pools with dimensions of a minimum of 35 x 21 and 25 x 21 meters, meant for sports activities and the organization of swimming tournaments.

The area for spectators within the complex will have a capacity of 500 spaces, whereas the stands will be telescopic. In addition to sports features, the facility will also encompass a necessary number of locker rooms, a sports outpatient clinic, a spa zone, a playroom for children, as well as accompanying commercial features such as outlets, restaurants and cafes.

A year ago, a group of companies consisting of Andzor inzenjering from Novi Sad, Krip-inzenjering, Tesla sistemi, Gicomp from Belgrade and Geosystems from Cajetina was entrusted with the job of the preparation of technical documentation for the construction of indoor pools with accompanying features at SRC 11. april in New Belgrade. The planners have been given a deadline of 465 calendar days to prepare the documentation for the facility.
