The minister of information and telecommunications of Serbia, Dejan Ristic, stated yesterday that, in 2024, the exports of ICT products and services from Serbia had exceeded the amount of EUR 4 billion, but warned that, due to the ongoing social crisis, the expected results in January and February 2025 would probably be jeopardized.

He said for TV Pink that, during 2024, from month to month, a constant growth of income from the exports of ICT services and products of around 20 percent had been realized and that the average salary in November 2024 in the IT sector (programmers) had amounted to RSD 301,000, the ministry announced. Ristic pointed out that the ICT sector was the fastest growing industry and the industry with the biggest income in Serbia and that the competent ministry would strive to keep it that way.

– Therefore, the ministry, together with the IT community, will make the maximum effort to mitigate, as much as possible, the consequences of this social crisis on the ICT sector – said the minister.
