- Stories about falling investments are stories for small children. Resignations or dismissals of prime ministers have happened before without anything significant changing. Governments, the way the state of Serbia functions, do not have the decisive influence as in other parliamentary democracies, where the fall of a government usually means new elections - Savic told Beta.
Italy, as he said, is a champion in the fall of governments, and yet nothing significant or dramatic has changed in the country and the world has become accustomed to the instability of these governments.
According to him, it is true that Serbia is currently in a complex situation, which some interpret as a victory, some as a defeat or a weakness.
- So far, the power has been in the hands of the president (Aleksandar Vucic), and it will continue to remain in his hands. The government is an executive body, it is autonomous and can make decisions. I suppose nobody believes that Vucic sat in government sessions and made decisions instead of Vucevic, but the fact is that he sets the tone for politics, which is his legitimate right - said Savic.
He pointed out that, as things stood at that moment, Vucevic’s resignation would not solve Serbia’s current problems.
