In 2025, a new wave of privatization in Serbia is expected, with the possibility of issuing public calls for companies from various sectors, as can be seen from the plan of the Ministry of Economy. Among them are Toza Markovic from Kikinda, as well as Jat Apartmani on Kopaonik. In addition to these companies, the transportation company Lastra, Jugoinspekt Beograd, Progres AD and the company Backa might be sold as well.

Companies such as Yumco and Simpo from Vranje, Tigar from Pirot and Trayal Corporation from Krusevac are in various phases of the implementation of pre-pack reorganization plans, which indicates that, in the upcoming period, the issuing of public calls for them is not possible. At the same time, some special rehabilitation hospitals, such as the ones in Sijarinska Banja, Vrnjacka Banja and Sokobanja, face complex court procedures and questions of ownership relations, which additionally postpones the privatization.

A certain number of companies, such as Omoljica from Omoljica, or Banja Koviljaca, face the challenges of restitution, which considerably affect their ability to take part in the privatization process.

Companies from Kosovo and Metohija, such as Urbanizam from Kosovska Mitrovica and Kopaonik from Leposavic, are in specific legal and political circumstances which additionally complicate these processes, so the issuing of public calls is not possible for them either.

Let us remind that, at the beginning of last year, the privatization list featured 13 state companies. For some of them, the privatization process has either been launched or completed, such as Stamparija Borba and RTV Kragujevac, whereas Lasta from Belgrade has been removed from the privatization list, and the activities around the PPRP are in progress.
