GDP in 2024 increases 3.9%

The total economic activity of the Republic of Serbia in 2024, measured by the real movements of the Gross domestic product (GDP), was estimated to have made the growth of 3.9% when related to 2023.

According to the website of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, in 2024 gross fixed capital formation recorded the real growth equaling 9.2% in comparison to 2023.

In 2024 agricultural production made the physical volume fall of 8.8%. In 2024 industrial production expressed the growth of 3.0%, and manufacturing – the growth of 4.4%.

According to the data of the Labor Force Survey, in the third quarter 2024 the rate of employment equaled 51.9%, while the rate of unemployment equaled 8.1%.

When 2024 is related to 2023, average salaries (wages) taxes and contributions deducted increased by 14.2% in nominal terms, and by 9.2% in real terms.

The estimated annual inflation rate equals 4.3%.
