Cuckovic: Boring of tunnel for subway and preparations for moving of citizens to begin next year

The boring of the tunnel for the Belgrade Subway and the cleaning of the space and the moving of the installations on a total of 21 stations of the first subway line will begin next year, pointed out the city manager of Belgrade, Miroslav Cuckovic.

On TV Prva, he said that the preparations for the moving of the citizens who lived in the space where the subway stations would be were planned as well, that is, that legal procedures would be implemented to secure replacement apartments or money for the purchase of real estate for those citizens.

– This is all defined by the process of construction in 2025, plus the construction of a big boulevard along Makisko Polje and the construction of a large depot, that is, a garage and an automated room – said Cuckovic.

Cuckovic reminded that the first subway line, 21 kilometers long, would connect Zeleznik, Banovo Brdo, Zarkovo, Ada Ciganlija, the Fair, the Sava Square and the Republic Square and emphasized that the subway was expected to open to traffic in 2030 if everything went as planned.
