Post Export, service that should make it possible for small entrepreneurs to export their products worth up to EUR 1,000 by a simplified procedure, will be launched on November 15th, Director of Serbia`s national post company Posta Srbije Goran Ciric announced.

- We have been announcing that service for a long time, but it was necessary to adopt many documents in order to remove all administrative barriers, and it is now for certain that a protocol on cooperation with the Customs Administration will be signed on November 14th, and that the service will be available to all our users as of the next day - Ciric told Tanjug news agency.

As Ciric explained, those that will benefit the most from this service are 300,000 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises registered in Serbia, which have a product and will now be able to market it in the region and the rest of the world.

Each parcel can be worth maximum EUR 1,000 and weigh up to 30 kilograms, which is why Post Export is not that interesting to large companies, Ciric explained.

- We have been working hard to simplify the whole procedure, and a result of that is that users will now need to fill in only one electronic form, which can be done via Internet, instead of presenting seven documents in order to use the service - Ciric stressed.

He believes that Post Export will particularly benefit the smallest entrepreneurs, that is, those who lack capacities, both administrative and financial, to hire special agencies to do their export activities for them.

- This service is modeled after similar services offered by the Post of Brazil and other national post companies in South America. Their experiences show that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises have significantly increased their exports after the launch of that service. The Post of Brazil first limited the value of such parcels to USD 5,000, and then raised that limit to USD 50,000 after five or six years - Ciric explained.
