The Polish minister of state assets, Jakub Jaworowski, estimated today that, due to the big reserves of lithium in Serbia, there was a possibility of cooperation of the two states, and added that Poland was the biggest European producer of batteries based on that metal

– We want to cooperate with companies in Serbia on lithium mining. Serbia has big lithium reserves, which we know are an integral part of batteries for cars, and Poland is the biggest European producer of those batteries and we see a possibility for synergy there – said Jaworowski at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) at the round table on the potentials of cooperation of the two countries in energy, mining and the green transformation.

Jaworowski pointed out that Poland and Serbia, as well as the entire Serbia, needed to work on securing the resilience of the energy sector.

– Poland is very happy to see efforts in Serbia to diversify energy sources, which is also good for Poland and the entire Europe. Our cooperation can go outside the energy sector as well – the minister said and mentioned new technologies, artificial intelligence and the construction of unmanned aerial vehicles.
