Mihailo Jovanovic again at the head of Office for IT and e-Government

Mihailo Jovanovic has been appointed acting director of the Office for Information Technologies and e-Government, the Government of Serbia announces.

In the previous composition of the Serbian government, Jovanovic was the Minister of Information and Telecommunications, and from 2017 to December 2022, he was already the head of the Office for Information Technologies and e-Government.

As said, he became a PhD in economics in 2012 and defended his second doctoral thesis in the field of mathematics and computer science in 2022 at the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies in Belgrade.

– Jovanovic is responsible for many digitization projects in Serbia and work on the intensive development of services and infrastructure of electronic administration, digital transformation of public administration, progress of the digital economy, but also the recognizability and citizens’ trust in e-Government – the government says in the announcement.

Jovanovic is a member of the Governing Board of the Serbian Progressive Party.
