The director-general of Srbijagas, Dusan Bajatovic, has said that, at yesterday’s meeting in Bucharest, there was talk about the new gas interconnection Romania-Serbia and pointed out that Romania has detected new gas resources in the Black Sea.

– We agreed this yesterday, they will lower their 86 km of the gas pipeline, and we will do the 13 km from Mokrin, but we will also to the gas pipeline from Mokrin to Belgrade, what we call the south leg. We will thereby form the ring for supply within the Republic of Serbia, which is technically important to us, and on the other hand, it will enable the supply of some 1.6 billion cubic meters or so a year from that direction potentially. That’s serious diversification – Bajatovic said for TV Prva.
