Year-on-year inflation in Serbia in July 4.3%, month-on-month 0.4%

Consumer prices in July 2024 increased by 4.3% in relation to July 2023, and prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in July 2024 in relation to June 2024 increased by 0.4%, on average, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced today. Consumer prices in July 2024 in relation to December 2023 increased by 2.7%.

In July 2024 in relation to the previous month, increase of prices was noted in the groups Recreation and culture (3.1%), Transport (1.0%), Communication (0.8%), Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.7%), Restaurants and hotels (0.5%), Health (0.2%) and in the groups Alcoholic beverages and tobacco and Education (each by 0.1%).


Decrease of prices was noted in the groups Clothing and footwear (-0.3%) and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.1%).
