The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has stated that he has had very successful talks with the prime minister of Egypt, Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, and that he expects the trade between the two countries to soon increase from EUR 100 million to EUR 200 million.

– You have seen the cooperation of the chambers of commerce of the two countries which are already working on concrete examples and have already seen that huge quantities of fresh apples used to be paid USD 1,250 in Egypt, and that the average price at which we have exported to the world has been USD 776 per ton. So, we are looking for room any place, so that our people too can ensure a secure market for their products, whereas the Egyptians would not only not get higher prices, but be able to get the good of the same quality at slightly lower prices – Vucic told the press after the Egyptian-Serbian Business Forum.

He added that it was important to establish an air route between Belgrade and Egypt.

– And we will also try to connect Nis with Alexandria, which will take slightly more time, but Belgrade has to be connected with Cairo as soon as possible – said Vucic.
