Chinese company Lianbo opens car engine part factory near Novi Sad

The Chinese company Jiangsu Lianbo Precision Technology, which has been producing metal parts (rotors and stators) for all types of engines in the automotive industry since 2011, put its first factory in Europe, in the Industrial Zone in Kac, into operation yesterday.

In the first factory of this renowned Chinese company in Serbia, which spreads on an area of 14,000 m2, up to 50 people will be employed, and the value of the whole investment is over EUR 80 million.

The deputy prime minister and minister of defense of Serbia, Milos Vucevic, said that the opening of the factory in Kac was not something that happened every day and that was understood, but that it was a result of serious work, clear strategy, but also the steel friendship of Serbia and China.

– The thing I am the gladdest for is that I’ve heard from our citizens, who are among the first employees in Lianbo, that they are satisfied with what they’ve been provided with. We expect the number of employees from Serbia to grow, the salaries to be good and competitive, in line with the highest average salaries, which, along with Belgrade, also characterize Novi Sad – pointed out Vucevic.

The mayor of Novi Sad, Milan Djuric, stated that the arrival of Lianbo to the Industrial Zone in Kac was big news for Novi Sad and Serbia and emphasized the role of Milos Vucevic in the development of the city.

– As a local self-government, more than a decade ago, when Milos Vucevic started leading the city, we realized how important it was to create a business environment that would be as attractive as possible. The arrival of Lianbo is big news for Novi Sad and Serbia. With the help and support of the president of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, we have managed to have this world giant choose our state and our city among all others – Djuric said and added that, in the period between 2012 and 2023, over RSD 5.7 billion had been invested in the infrastructural equipping of the industrial zones, and that, in the next period, the plan was to set aside a billion dinars from the budget for those purposes.

Lianbo is a family company with the headquarters in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, which employs over 800 people in its three existing factories in China, and it is known for the manufacture of components for the needs of Volkswagen, Nidec and Bosch.

We therefore want to become a secure and reliable global partner of greatest trust for our numerous clients – underlined the director and general manager of Lianbo, Qingpeng Xiao, and added that Nidec, Bosch and Continental, which already operated in Serbia, would benefit from the factory in Kac.
