The opening of the Visitors’ Center at the Justiniana Prima archaeological site is expected in March, the prime minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, announced on her X account.

She wrote that the construction of the center was being brought to a close and added that “for the first time, a path paved with slabs will lead from the Visitors’ Center to the archaeological location itself.”

She pointed out that they were preparing “many more surprises which Justiniana Prima, Lebane and the entire Jablanica District deserve for multiple reasons.”

– This is one of the projects envisaged in the “Serbia 2027 – Leap into the Future” program, and the opening is expected in March – said Brnabic.

Let us remind that, in this location, around this time last year, the works on fencing off the fortification from the 6th century and the installation of video surveillance began. This unique archaeological location in the territory of the municipality of Lebane was raised by Eastern Roman Emperor Justinian I.
