Association of Regenerative Agriculture of Serbia Founded

The Association of Regenerative Agriculture of Serbia has been founded in Novi Sad, as a step toward creating a more sustainable, resilient and cost-effective agriculture in Serbia.

The founders of the association are the Association Balkan Eco-Innovations, the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, the Institute of Development and Innovations from Belgrade and the company GILAB from Belgrade, with the support of the agriculturists who already implement regenerative agricultural practices in their production.

The main objective of the association is the joint solving of the systemic challenges which require cooperation between the economy, science, state institutions, agricultural associations, non-governmental organizations and other relevant participants. The association will strive to shape and upgrade this objective in order to incite the implementation of regenerative practices in agriculture.

The operations of the association will be realized through the connecting and joint work of all the participants which deal directly with regenerative agriculture in some capacity, as well as those who, indirectly, through their activities, can contribute to its being more wide-spread in Serbia.

On March 12, 2024, at the premises of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, the association will present its vision, goals and activities to all interested parties. Also, panel discussions will be organized at the event with the participants, dealing with the current topics of importance for the entire sector of regenerative agriculture and all its participants, covering the issues of farm management, but also the creation of a market for regenerative products.
