Vojvodina to Invest in Training of IT Juniors – Program Devised in Agreement with Companies

The Vojvodina ICT Cluster, in cooperation with the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism, is organizing a ten-month training for IT juniors in the field of web development, for people who want to enter the IT industry and acquire enough basic knowledge in information technologies and start a career in that sector.

According to the website of the Provincial Government, the invitation for the training is open until January 5, 2024. The requirements for application are completed secondary education and citizenship of the Republic of Serbia, and in the process of selection, the candidates who have the most affinity for that kind of training will be selected. The trainees will be provided with top working conditions, and the lecturers come from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, it is added.

– All our programs are devised in agreement with companies. A person who gets the certificate of the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism can find a job immediately and is in demand in the market – said the provincial secretary Nenad Ivanisevic, who added that, in concrete terms, those who complete the training for junior programmers would be able to find employment in the IT sector right away and that, with time, acquiring additional knowledge, they could advance and continue their career.

The director of the ICT Cluster, Milan Solaja, said that the IT industry was “hungry for staff”.

– Despite the recent adjustments to the market, we still have several thousand new employees this year, due to the global demand, because our companies in the IT sector operate mostly in developed western markets – Solaja said.
