Siemens launches initiative for better exchange of knowledge, solutions, ideas and information between cities in central and east Europe

The company Siemens has launched an initiative for cities in east and central European countries with the aim of connecting experts for the sake of better exchange of knowledge, solutions, ideas and information, the company announced.
As people at the Belgrade-based headquarters of that German company explained, the idea about launching that initiative resulted from a significant experience of Siemens in coping with the infrastructure challenges that large cities are facing today.
As it was announced, the project will cover the following 16 cities: Belgrade, Bratislava, Bucharest, Budapest, Bourgas, Istanbul, Kecskemet, Kiev, Ljubljana, Ostrava, Podgorica, Prague, Sarajevo, Sofia, Vienna, and Zagreb.
Siemens earlier formed the fourth sector dedicated to the development of infrastructure and cities with the aim of finding solutions for "intelligent networks", transport of the future, as well as innovative power supply solutions.
