Going on vacation with empty pockets - Summer trips to mountain, spa resort, seaside for only RSD 10,000

Going on vacation this summer will pose a financial challenge for many people. It will be hard for four-member families with average incomes to set aside money for an expensive summer vacation. However, a 7- or 10-day holiday on a mountain, in a spa resort, or at the seaside, can cost as low as RSD 10,000 per person, depending on the date.

A two-bed room on Zlatibor mountain can be rented for EUR 15 per day so that, along with the costs of bus transport, a holiday on this mountain can cost EUR 100. A summer stay on Javor mountain can also be quite affordable because an all-inclusive service at Javor hotel costs as low as RSD 1,500 per day. An overnight stay at private villas on Rudnik mountain costs about RSD 700, while the price of an all-inclusive service amounts to RSD 1,700.

When it comes to trips abroad, tourists will have to wait for the very end of the season and special discounts on vacations in Greece. Argus travel agency organizes 10-day trips to Paralia, Polihrono and Stavros in late September for as low as EUR 55 per person.

- Almost all travel arrangements for September have been sold out - says Aleksandar Vuckovic from Argus. - There are only very few spots left because we sold all the cheapest arrangements before the start of the season. The interest in cheap vacations in June and September is the biggest.

One can also go on vacation to the seaside in high season at somewhat lower prices because a private accommodation in a three-bed room in Sutomore, for example, can be rented for as low as EUR 5 per day. Therefore, with a return train ticket from Belgrade to Bar, which costs EUR 45, a ten-day accommodation and transport to the seaside can fit in the amount of EUR 100.

Spa resorts

A stay in spa resorts can be very cheap, but only in private accommodation. Rooms in Atomic Spa Trepca cost RSD 400 and more per day, the price of an overnight stay in Vrdnik spa is RSD 500, while a two-bed suite in Vrujci can be rented for RSD 1,500 a day.
