Momirovic: Sales of Baloney Jump 1,000%, Campaign Expansion to Products Necessary for Preparation of Patron Saint Celebrations Considered

A month from the beginning of the “Better Price” campaign, we can say that its effects are better than we expected, stated the minister of domestic and foreign trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic.

– The sale of these goods has jumped considerably. For some products, it’s 1,000%, for other 40%, but it’s much more than we expected. The sales of baloney have jumped 1,000%, but also the sales of yoghurt. Apple juice sales have jumped over 800% – Momirovic said.

He notes that the price decrease means a lot to people.


– In addition to this campaign, we have created a spiral and other prices have started dropping. That is the fact as seen on the shelves – the minister said.

He announced that reducing the prices of other products was also being considered, mostly those necessary for the celebration of patron saints’ days.
