First of the Two Transport Aircraft CASA C-295 Brought Into Use at Serbian Armed Forces

The transport aircraft CASA C-295, procured for the needs of the Serbian Armed Force, has been brought into use at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlovic Air Base in Batajnica.

The purpose, the possibilities and the characteristics of that aircraft, which will considerably contribute to strengthening the army’s capabilities, were presented to the minister of defense, Milos Vucevic, and the chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilovic.

Pilots were trained in Seville for controlling the CASA C-295 aircraft, and technicians were trained for basic technical maintenance of this type of aircraft, which will be carried out in our country.

Let us remind that the contract signed in February 2022 with the company Airbus Defence and Space from Spain agreed the procurement of two transport aircraft CASA C-295 which would be used for transport of personnel and cargo.
