Mobilkom Austria will give a maximum of 3 billions eur for purchase of Mobtel Serbia and the company Mobis from Serbian Republic

Austrian operator of mobile telephony Mobilkom will for the purhase of the operator in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have a maximum of 3 billions eur, as decided on the meeting of the Managers Board of "Telekom Austria".

Mobilkom intends to buy Mobtel in Serbia, as it waits for the tender publication, and it is also interested in Mobis from Serbian Republic. The boss of the "Telekom Austria" Heinz Sunt announced, however, that "Mobilkom" which represented a siste company of "Telekom Austria" didn' have intention to buy neither Mobtel nor Mobis for what ever it took. The president of the financial board of the company Stefano Colombo pointed that financial limit was determined, and "Mobilkom" could make expanses for purchase of the two operators within the existing means, with a determined limit up to 3 billions eur.

Vienna's economic journal "Virchaftsblat" points that "Mobilkom" would have good competition in the race for "Mobtel", like the British company "Vodafon", German "Telekom" and Spanish "Telefonika". "Mobilkom" in BiH has focused its activities in direction of "Mobis" from Serbian Republic, while for the "Eronet" operator (in BIH federation) it obviously lost interest, as said in the mentioned Vienna journal.
