BAHUS exceeds Bacchus

Bacchus was born in the winter like a snake, becoming the lion in the spring and killed and devoured as a bull, goat or deer in the middle of summer. The myth of Bacchus tells that he was born again from his heart, which missed its devourer.

A renewal of this ritual content of the myth, members of Bacchus cult, mostly women, began with a ritual act of the long exhausting dance that brought them into a trance. In ancient Rome Bacchus was celebrated as the God of wine and sex. During the bacchanalian festival , held on 16th and 17th of March, orgies and wild parties were organized.
