What Hotel Bristol in Belgrade Will Look Like Following Renovation (PHOTO)

The reconstruction of the famous Hotel Bristol is in progress, and the monumental edifice in Karadjordjeva Street will soon shine in its full glory and become a recognized symbol of Belgrade again, announced the minister of finance of Serbia, Sinisa Mali.

– The reconstruction of the hotel, which is now located within the Belgrade Waterfront complex, is in progress, and the works that are being done will preserve the authenticity of that facility of invaluable cultural and historical importance – Mali wrote on Instagram.

Hotel Bristol is a masterpiece of the prominent Serbian architect Nikola Nestorovic and an inevitable part of the rich architectural heritage of Belgrade. Top artists are hired for the restoration of the façade, and the main task of the restorers is to preserve the original façade architecture and, however much possible, bring it back to its original state.

The project was prepared by the studio Bureaucube.

The construction of Hotel Bristol began in 1910 and was fully finished in 1912, and thanks to its remarkable beauty and importance to the urban development of Belgrade, Hotel Bristol is now an immovable cultural good as a cultural monument and is under protection of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Belgrade since 1987.
