Local Company Luss Textile Starts Building Factory in Krusevac – Jobs for 500 Workers by Year-End

The company Luss Textile has started building a new textile factory in Krusevac today. By the end of the year, 500 workers will be employed at the factory, the Government of Serbia announced. The company will thereby, together with the existing factories in Raska and Vlasotince, become the biggest local and regional textile producer with over 1,000 employees and a production of around a million clothing items a year, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS) announces.

– We are proud of the fact that, today, in Krusevac, a serious local family company has launched the construction of a new factory, where 500 workers will be employed by the end of the year – said the minister of domestic and foreign trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, at the ceremony of the laying down of the foundation stone.

According to him, the Mitrovic family decided to invest the capital in Serbia and in the local work force and to build a factory in Krusevac for a new 500 workers, in addition to the existing textile factories in Raska and Vlasotince, where they employ 465 workers.

– This is a family company which produces items of the highest quality and which can compete in the textile industry with the best in Europe – said Marko Cadez, the president of the CCIS, at the ceremony.


The plan is for the factory in Krusevac to be completed at the end of this year, and according to Cadez, the world-famous fashion designer Philipp Plein, the founder of Philipp Plein International Group, is expected to attend the opening. In 2021, Plein visited Luss Textile in Draganici near Raska and commenced business cooperation with them.

Luss Textile is a local, private, family textile company which produces clothing items of the highest quality, tactical equipment, special protective equipment, and it has a fashion line too.

The company cooperates with over 30 local textile producers. It produces 350,000 to 400,000 clothing items a year, and with the future factory in Krusevac, it will reach a capacity of around a million clothing items a year.
