2nd International Brand Fair opened at the Belgrade Fair


The Government of Serbia has intention of making a decision of international branding in Serbia. This should contribute to the political image of Serbia and make it attractive to tourists and foreign investors, which are coming in large numbers every day. It is for sure that the competitive abilities of serbian commerce are very low, despite the fact that trade deficir was significantley decreased this year and resource potentials of the country were strengthened - said Bojan Dimitrijevic, Minister of trade, tourism and services in the Government of Serbia, at the opening of International bran fiar which is being held from Marc 2-4th, at the Belgrade Fair.
Milan Parivodic, Minister for economic relations with foreign countries in the Government of Serbia, pointed that the success of the last year's first Brand Fair and bringing to life an idea of brand development represents successfull commerce, which is showed the best by this year's manifestation which have gotten an international character.
- It is not changeable the concurence of a product and service in the modern world and this exactley shows that with the proper price, quality, packaging and other paramteres, it posseses a profile of one brand. This prooves the fact that brand products have 30-50% higher price. This is why it is necessary that commercial traders of our country protect their trade marks - stressed out Parivodic.
President of the Council of foreign investors Mike Ahern pointed at a big part which brands have today in the world. "Having in mind that the perception of Serbia abroad is till tighed to the recent wars, the development of the quality of serbian brands which could have a good acceptance at the world market could be significant in order to contribute to de better picture", said Ahern.
Within the exhibition part of International Fair of brands there will be a presentation of the best serbian and foreign brands, among whome are Milka, Max Factor, Microsoft, Doncafe, Tigar, Sinalko, Dijamant etc.
