Montenegro Tenth on List of Cheapest Places for Starting Electric Vehicle

Ireland is the seventh most expensive country in the EU for the charging of electric vehicles, with an average price of EUR 16.63 per charging, EUR 13.89 more than the Netherlands, which is the cheapest.
The cheapest country is the Netherlands, where the average price is EUR 2.74. Among the cheapest ones are also Georgia (4.53), Serbia (4.90) and Turkey (EUR 5.25).
Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the average price is EUR 5.38, is sixth, and it is followed by North Macedonia (5.70), Albania (5.71), Hungary (5.57) and Montenegro (EUR 5.83).
When it comes to the most expensive countries in Europe for the starting of an electric vehicle, the first place belongs to Denmark, with an average price of EUR 27.65. It is followed by Belgium (20.48), Germany (18.89), Italy (18.89) and Spain (EUR 18.63).
The sixth spot features the Czech Republic with EUR 18.55, and there are also Ireland (16.63), Cyprus (15.81), Sweden (15.32) and Romania (EUR 14.33).
The commercial director of Switcher.IE, Eoin Clarke, said that the consumers were affected by the growing inflation and that it was no surprise that the sale of electric vehicles continued to grow.
– The price of electrical energy varies to a great extent throughout Europe and can depend on things such as the use of renewable energy sources in the energy system of a country, as well as the amount of the available expenditures and subsidies – Clarke said.
