New rules for employment of foreigners in Serbia - Amendments to the law make it easier to obtain a work permit

The Government of Serbia has adopted the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Foreigners and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Employment of Foreigners.

As announced by the Government of Serbia, this enables foreign nationals to simultaneously obtain the right to temporary residence and work in Serbia, through one single procedure of the necessary checks related to the approval of temporary residence and work permits.

After that, if the legal requirements are met, a unified permit is issued.

- Issuing a unified permit, i.e. residence and work permit, is fully digitized, given that this request can be submitted exclusively electronically. Also, the unified web portal will contain all the information related to the entry, stay and work of foreigners in Serbia - the Government announced.
