Milka Forcan: This year, Delta M will invest 166 million EUR

In 2006, Delta holding expects 1.4 billion EUR worth of income, said vice president of company Milka Forcan in the interview to "Magazin biznis".

She says that Delta, which employs 15,800 people, plans to build over 800,000 square meters of office space until 2008, in which 700 million EUR will be invested, which will make that company one of the biggest investors in the region.

Delta plans to invest outside Serbian market, first of all, in Montenegro and Macedonia, says Milka Forcan and states that several locations have already been bought on both markets for construction of trade centers and Maxi supermarkets.

According to her words, trade center in Podgorica will have surface of 17,000 square meters. Also, chain of supermarkets will reach cities of Bar, Herceg Novi and Nikšić.

Delta M group, a member of Holding Delta, only in 2005, invested 220 million EUR, 70 million of which were greenfield investments. Forcan pointed out that number of employees in that group had doubled to about 12,000 within only one year.

She added that Delta M would invest 166 million EUR in 2006, 81 million EUR of which will be invested in retail sale, 40 million EUR in construction of trade centers, 15 million EUR in agriculture and 30 million EUR in new projects.

Delta owns over 24,000 ha of agricultural land.
