The preliminary border of the spatial plan is located in parts of Paracin, Bor, Negotin, Zajecar, Boljevac, Knjazevac, Nis and Svrljig, in a total of 85 cadaster municipalities.
The main goal of the gasification of eastern Serbia, according to the planning document, is the realization of the national interests in the field of development of energy infrastructure based on the principles of sustainable development, so the preparation of this spatial plan has been included among the priority planning documents to be adopted.
The linear part of the main route of the main and branch gas pipelines through eastern Serbia is planned as a single-pipe system around 239 km long, which is to be fully installed below the ground, on an area of around 14,270 ha.
The gas pipeline is to be connected to the existing measuring station MS2 near Paracin (cadaster municipality of Bosnjane), and the end of the main gas pipeline route is in Prahovo.
The plan is available for public inspection until March 9.
